內(nèi)容簡介:　　英國劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會根據(jù)歐洲語言測試者協(xié)會制定的語言大綱推出了“劍橋英語五級證書考試”。旨在推進(jìn)歐洲語言測試者協(xié)會20多個(gè)成員國之間的英語水平相互認(rèn)證。這一英語等級考試體系同時(shí)也被歐洲及英語國家廣泛接受，當(dāng)作出國留學(xué)或進(jìn)入商務(wù)領(lǐng)域的語言水平認(rèn)證。
　　根據(jù)運(yùn)用語言的能力?！皠蛴⒄Z五級證書考試”的等級大致可描述為：入門證書水平（KET），即能夠以英語就日常話題進(jìn)行簡單交流，是劍橋少兒英語三級之后進(jìn)入更高階段的一個(gè)等級；初級證書水平（PET），即具備運(yùn)用英語解決日常事務(wù)的能力；一證書水平（FCE），即能夠在商務(wù)環(huán)境下或就某些稍具專業(yè)性的話題進(jìn)行交流，同時(shí)此水平的考試也被作為母語為非英語人員申請到歐洲留學(xué)的語言水平認(rèn)證；高級英語證書考試水平（CAE），即能夠從文化層面上把握語言在各種場合下的應(yīng)用，能夠憑借英語進(jìn)入某專業(yè)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域從事工作或初步具備了以英語作為工作語言進(jìn)入學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域的能力；英語熟練證書水平（CPE），即劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會認(rèn)為母語為非英語的人士已經(jīng)完全具備了以英語進(jìn)行深度學(xué)術(shù)研究的能力。
　　《劍橋英語等級考試系列》就是在上述背景下引進(jìn)的原版圖書。本套圖書是根據(jù)新考試大綱而編寫的考試教程。本套教程大的亮點(diǎn)在于：
